With the Island Pass, islanders enjoy a minimum 25% discount on local experiences. From sporting activities and creative workshops to cultural outings and tasty restaurants: there are plenty of interesting activities for all residents of Goeree-Overflakkee. Each month, the range of activities is supplemented. So there is always something new to experience on the island - and at an attractive price.
The Island Pass has a dual function. Not only does it enthuse residents for activities on the island, it also lets local entrepreneurs benefit from more visitors at off-peak times. By offering islanders attractive discounts, it creates extra visiting moments at quieter times. Local entrepreneurs thus get a chance to increase their sales market among residents.
How the Island Pass works
In 2023, Eilandmarketing Goeree-Overflakkee sent the physical Eilandpas to over 22,000 households on the island. Residents who did not receive the pass could (and still can) apply for the pass via eilandpas.nl. After activation on the website, users get access to all activities. Does the user discover an interesting experience? Then he or she buys a discounted ticket via the pass.
Collaborations with local entrepreneurs
The deals in the app and on the website are offered by various local entrepreneurs on the island. Together with Eilandmarketing Goeree-Overflakkee, a minimum discount of 25% on activities has been agreed. Entrepreneurs also have the freedom to determine the time, duration and number of tickets themselves.
Through a portal, partners can view real-time information on the number of tickets sold. They also benefit from an extra advantage: the tool also works as a booking system. They can create projects for activities, for which users can claim a spot free of charge. Entrepreneurs thus combine convenience with insight and get the most out of their collaboration with the platform.

Translating a concept into a smart online solution
Together with Eilandmarketing Goeree-Overflakkee, we translated the concept of the pass into an online solution. We developed a new website for the Eilandpas: eilandpas.nl. With the clever Plaece.deals-feature we made the range of activities directly visible and bookable. Via eilandpas.nl, users can also apply for the pass quickly and easily. In addition, we developed a new online portal that offers entrepreneurs insight into sales of the activities. The tool offers the possibility to purchase tickets and pay directly.
