I love diving into new cultures, tasting local dishes and discovering nature's hidden gems. Every adventure enriches my life. I can enjoy the little things immensely, but am not shy about big adventures either.
Mariska Bors
When I am not at work, I enjoy a mix of creative, cultural, active and relaxing pursuits. I love to wander through a nature park with my boyfriend - that really is a recharging moment for me. We also share a passion for films, so we can regularly be found at the cinema. We watch the real hits in the IMAX theatre at Pathé in Tilburg or in the Dolby Cinema theatre at Vue in Eindhoven. And before the film? Traditionally ramen at Takumi or XU Noodlebar.
I also enjoy visiting museums or getting creative myself. I also find my peace in yoga, meditation, hiking, cycling or just playing sports. But I can also lose myself in a good book, totally absorbed in stories that take me to new worlds. Oh, and cooking and good food are also high on my list. Actually, I have too many hobbies, but that's because I want to get everything out of life. Life is simply too short.
Do you have a question for Mariska?
It all starts with yourself and an open attitude towards others. Every choice, however small, contributes to the world around us. I believe that positivity can have a huge impact.
As a young creative, I knew early on that my future lay in the creative sector. After training in graphic design and communication (advertising), I delved further into digital experiences. Developing strong concepts and turning them into high-profile designs is something I really enjoy immensely.
My passion for UX design and travel comes together perfectly in the tourism sector. This is where I connect people and destinations in a unique way. Every place tells a story, and I translate that into a visually appealing and user-friendly experience. In this way, I create something that inspires and makes people happy. It gives me great satisfaction to really contribute to that experience with my skills.
One of my favourite projects? Bringing the Shipwrecks story to life. That was an incredibly beautiful and big case. Together with colleagues from Strategy, Marketing and Copywriting, we created a digital platform visualising the story using AI. The selection tool to discover cultural outings in Groningen was also a very nice project. I got to work with a very cool visual style and develop the mechanism behind the tool. Projects like this, where creativity and technology come together, energise me and continue to inspire me.
