Travelling gives me relaxation and new energy.
I prefer to go on hikes in nature with my boyfriend, or stroll through atmospheric streets in a beautiful city with girlfriends. I enjoy cosy eateries with delicious food and a good glass of wine or beer. If a city also has a rich historical character, I am in my element.

On a day off, I like to start with a coffee at Buurt with a friend, after which we go to the market to buy fresh ingredients. In the evening, I end the day with a cosy dinner cooked with my friend(s). However, I also really enjoy challenge. For instance, I recently ran a half marathon - I love challenging myself that way.
For me, holidays are a mix of adventure and relaxation. I enjoy hiking and sightseeing, but can also relax on the beach with a good book. One of my favourite travel experiences in the Netherlands was when I went to Yerseke in Zeeland with my boyfriend to collect oysters and spend the night on a boat. The whole village was dedicated to oysters. Besides the (free) gathering of oysters in the sea, there were also several restaurants with oyster tastings. It was a quiet village, so we stayed there for a day before moving on to Utrecht and seeking out some more of the hustle and bustle. I would recommend it to anyone!

What attracts me to the tourism sector is the versatility of the industry, which is all about creating experiences and connecting people to new destinations. At Insiders, you get the chance to do this for (most) cities and municipalities in the Netherlands. How fun it is to discover so many hidden gems!
In my role, I like to act as the lynchpin between the company and the accounts. I love thinking with our partners and representing them within our team. Together, we turn their wishes into concrete results. I prefer to think strategically with the customer so that we create sustainable solutions instead of just short-term ones. It is this cooperation that enables us to create something beautiful!
