"By experimenting with new techniques, such as AI, we discover what really works in practice and make big impact possible.
1. Add AI Base locations
One of the innovations is a new way of adding locations in Base. You add the location with a simple text prompt, just like asking a question to ChatGPT. The system instantly gathers the most important information and automatically completes a complete Base entry, including detailed description and relevant data.
Check the data, adjust where necessary and save the location. Is everything correct? Then publish it immediately. So you can set up a new location quickly and carefully, with minimal manual input.

2. AI visibility checker
AI-visibility is all about making content suitable for AI tools and chatbots. This requires different emphases from traditional SEO. It is about AI recognising your page as trustworthy, knowledgeable and authoritative, so that precisely your content is used as a response, for example in ChatGPT.
We have figured out how to strengthen your AI visibility based on the criteria for EEAT: Experience, Expertise, Authority and Trustworthiness. Based on these criteria, we developed a ready-to-use tool that automatically analyses whether your page meets the conditions for good AI visibility. This gives you a report with clear scores and a concrete proposal for content changes. This not only gives you insight into where you stand, but also immediate tools to improve your content.

3. Plaece.maps
A great metamorphosis for plaece.maps! The design remains the same, but the positioning of the filters improves considerably. Whereas before you had to click on everything separately, you can now combine different options. Think of accommodation as well as food and drink: you will see them together on one map. This provides more flexibility. In the future, it will also be possible to highlight areas and add markers to the map, such as star-shaped boosts.
4. Auto Complete for Base Item Picker
Blogs are incredibly valuable for the visibility of your website. Especially top lists with local entrepreneurs attract many visitors and ensure extra attention and involvement. That is why we have developed the Base Item Picker pagepart. With this pagepart you can easily add a direct link to the entrepreneur page on your website. Visitors can then immediately save the entrepreneur in their list of favourites, which further increases interaction.
We have now expanded the pagepart with a handy autocomplete function. This makes it even quicker and easier for the administrator to find the right entrepreneur. Its use is self-explanatory, so no separate training is needed. Another plus: the improvement contributes to stronger AI visibility. This is because you can add internal links to your page more easily and more consistently.

5. Plaece.assist
Besides being a digital travel assistant, plaece.assist is also a full-fledged replacement for the search function. Instead of searching for the answer ourselves in a list of pages, we are getting more and more used to direct answers to our questions. After several months of monitoring and optimisation, the chatbot has been greatly optimised: prompting has been greatly improved. Even when a user enters a single search term, the tool gets closer and closer to the answer by asking targeted questions.

6. DataViz
The data visualisation pagepart (DataViz) allows you to visualise data directly on your own website, without depending on external tools. Users can create graphs themselves without a complex technical backend. The graphs are displayed in house style colours as standard, so they fit seamlessly with your website design. There are also interactive features, such as animated loading of the chart and tooltips that show the numbers when you hover over them. This makes the data visualisations not only clear, but also attractive and user-friendly.

8. AI visibility & structured data
AI visibility is more important than ever. With structured data, we ensure that base pages and blog pages are more findable for Google and AI. Think FAQ pageparts and the addition of author and reading time information.

9. Plaece.favorites for blog favourites
With plaece.favorites, your visitor saves personal favourites, such as activities, events, deals, itineraries and locations. This is done with a simple click on a recognisable button next to the item. Thanks to the upgrade of plaece.favorites, visitors can now also save blogs and stories. This makes your visitor's orientation phase, of which plaece.favorites is a part, even richer.

10. Plaece.lifestylequiz
With the plaece.lifestylequiz, you give your visitors a playful way to discover your offering. Based on a number of questions, they receive semi-personalised advice. Each answer is more or less suitable for a particular target group, such as the lifestyles of the Lifestyle Finder or Glocalities. The visitor then sees, for example, that a getaway is 70% suitable for the adventure seeker. Visitors can thus make their visit to your destination even more personal.

Frequently asked questions
AI visibility shows how often AI search engines (such as Chatgpt or Google Search's AI answers) refer to your brand when visitors ask questions online. It's about how well your content is readable and reliable for AI tools and chatbots, separate from traditional SEO.
A strong AI Visibility increases the chances of your page being used as an answer in AI tools such as ChatGPT. This makes you, as a destination, more findable online for exploratory visitors.
Plaece.assist is a digital AI assistant, which has become a worthy replacement for a traditional search function. Many users start with a single (search) word, after which the assistant asks questions and provides more targeted answers. It provides better answers for visitors and insight into missing content and improvement opportunities for your website.
