What I like doing most during my travels and free time? Simply setting off spontaneously with my photo camera, without any rigid plan. Simply seeing where the path leads me, what surprises come my way.

Nice restaurant by the water, on the edge of nature reserve Maashorst. After dinner you can take a nice walk through the surrounding woods/lake.

De Maashorst is a vast nature reserve known for the wild wisent, Tauros and exmoor pony that roam the area. Combined with the vast forests and moorlands, this makes it a perfect location for cycling and hiking. There are also many different activities and restaurants where you can make your day complete.

Maasbommel is a medieval Hanseatic town where history is still very much present, with the Sint-Lambertuskerk and Stoomgemaal De Tuut to Kasteel Hernen being beautiful to look at. Besides history, Maasbommel also has interesting natural surroundings. In fact, Maasbommel borders the recreational area the Golden Ham. A nature reserve surrounded by water and with an open connection to the river Maas. Whether you come to cycle, walk or relax, in this place you will always find your peace and quiet.
